- Payment
An advance payment equal to 25% of the total payment is required 5 days after receiving the booking confirmation. With the payment you’ve accepted the general conditions and rental rules of Haags Duinhuis and you’ve secured your booking.
The balance of the rent (75% of the total payment) is due 6 weeks before to your arrival date. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent. Please make payments via bank transfer payable to account NL 98 RABO 0306074613 to UF Smid e/o in The Hague (please note: RABO is with a letter O followed by the number 0) and BIC/Swift RABONL2U). We will send you the lock box instructions per email after receiving the final payment.
- Security Deposit
A security deposit of € 150,- is required. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
• No damage is done to property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear;
• No charges are incurred due to illegal activity, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay;
• All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in rubbish bin, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned;
• All keys are left on the kitchen table and unit is left locked;
• All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure;
• No linens are lost or damaged;
• Parking passes are left inside the unit upon departure.
In case the chores were not performed accordance with this general conditions of rental or any inventory is missing, we are forced to withhold your safety deposit (or a part thereof). Should this be the case you will be informed by e-mail.
- Cancellations
* Cancellations that are made more than 42 days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 25% cancellation fee of the total payment;
* Cancellations that are made within 42 days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 60% cancellation fee of the total payment;
* Cancellations that are made within 14 days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 90% cancellation fee of the total payment;
* Cancellations earlier to arrival 100% of the total payment
If canceled during the stay, no refund will be made.
By paying the advance payment you’ve accepted these general conditions.
- Insurance
We recommend taking out travel and cancellation insurance for unforeseen circumstances.
- Arrival
On the day of arrival, the holiday home is available from 4 p.m.
Please check the property to any damage. If you notice any damage please report to us as soon as possible. We try to fix this as soon as possible. You can reach us by phone/ e-mail or what’s app (phone +31 (0)6-24779880).
Also report damage caused during your stay as soon as possible.
- Departure
On the day of departure, we request that you vacate the house before 10:00 am.
- Responsibility
HaagsDuinhuis accepts no liability for accidents, damage to property of the guest, theft and the like. Tip: take out travel insurance for these types of incidents.
- Force majeure
If HaagsDuinhuis has to cancel the booking due to force majeure, the full amount paid will be refunded to the guest. HaagsDuinhuis cannot be held liable for additional costs incurred.

Rental rules
We have a few specific rules which we ask you to live to. In case of non-compliance with these internal regulations, the owner may reserve the right to withhold (part of the) deposit due to longer cleaning duration and/or early replacement and/or shipping costs and/or other (unnecessary) costs:
- This is a non smoking property. Please also do not smoke at the door or ‘hanging outside’ the window;
- Pets are not permitted in the property under any conditions;
- We do not rent out to groups younger than 27 years of age;
- You have booked the property to a certain number of guests. Only after consulting us, you can adjust this maximum occupancy;
- We have decorated the house with care, we hope you appreciate this as well. And that you take care of the property belongs as it is your own;
- To prevent damage to the furniture and property, you are not allowed to move furniture, beds and closets;
- Do not fire up too much wood at the fireplace at once. And only use well dried wood. Please make sure that the chimney valve is opened;
- By sitting down in the sauna you need to use a towel at all times;
- (Rental) bikes can be placed in the storage room or outside;
- Kijkduinpark is a ‘carfree’ park. You can only bring your car to the house at certain days (Monday and Friday). At other times you can park your car at the permanent parking. This is only 20 meters of our property;
- Garden furniture should be placed in the storage room, when you are not at the property.
Upon departure:
- Sweep the floors;
- Emty the refrigerator and the freezer compartment;
- Emty the dishwasher;
- Put all inventory items back in the cupboards where you found them;
- Clean combi-microwave and kitchen area;
- Deposit rubbish (kitchen and bathrooms) in the designated bins;
- Replace garden furniture in the storage room, together with the pillows;
- Remove any linens and leave them in the storage room;
- Close all windows and doors;
- Please make sure you took all your luggage and you didn’t forget anything;
- In case you forgot anything, please report that to us as soon as possible;
- Please leave the Keycards in the property at the dinner table.
